I am Joana Perdigão Rito, a woman who seeks a balance between her polarities, who loves simplicity and the beauty of simple things. Who loves nature, family, and so many, so many other things….
I am a mother of 3 wonderful Beings, a woman in love with me, with life, with the father of my children, and with my family.
I have been a massage therapist for over 15 years, having worked in different massage therapy spaces such as physiotherapy clinics and massage centers. I have been working for about 10 years in my own therapy space.
I am a facilitator of the new family constellations.
My work is based on awakening the senses, activating “feeling with the heart”, bringing a new awareness of the body and life, awakening vitality and lightness in the body of all those who come across me and my work.
In both massages and constellations, I am humble before my knowledge and experience, letting myself be guided by my feeling, my intuition.
I feel and see in the body, the mirror of LIFE, of memories, of beliefs, of beauty and of the essence of each ONE. My purpose is to facilitate the reunion of the body with its Being, its Soul and its heart. My intention in my works is to remember the connection that exists between the Soul, the body, Life, and ancestry.
I have studied and practiced several techniques of massage therapy, as well as other therapies that pushed me to create Soul Massage – Joana Perdigão Rito. Soul Massage is an inner journey, it is pure body awareness and connection to one’s essence.
Nature is the leading thread of Soul Massage. It is in nature and its cyclicality that I find the elements that compose me: Fire, Earth, Water, Air and Ether. All these elements are present in the body, associated with specific emotions, as well as with different states of consciousness, the chakras (energy centers of the body), the main organs and the production of hormones.
In nature I discover the balance I seek between every part of me, it is where I feel the simplicity, beauty, and strength of Life.
Touch is a vehicle to access the body, vulnerability, strength, and our roots, as well as accessing another consciousness of Being, as well as the memories, beliefs, and patterns that are engraved in the body.
From very early on I fell in love with touch, there is so much magic, simplicity, beauty, and love in the contact between two bodies. There is a lot of “Healing” in the simple gesture of touch. Touch not only relaxes, it allows a new awareness to be created of the body and the emotions that are lodged in the cells, but it also facilitates a true connection to the heart and body. I have been witnessing, in my work, the transformation of touch, in the body and in people’s lives.
In the last years I have experienced real catharsis in my life with the training, practice and experience of Family Constellations. My personal processes, as well as my personal growth as a woman are reflected in my work.
Therefore, my work is in constant transformation as I allow myself to experience the intensity of life, in truth.
Transformation is a premise always present in my work, I believe this is the meaning of Life: to look inside, visualize and feel what emerges from the center, welcoming, acceptance, liberation, cleaning, integration, energization, and transformation. As in nature, the life-death-life cycles succeed each new year, they are necessary processes for transformation. Soul Massage is represented by a butterfly, because that is the metaphor of life, which is felt and lived in my work – metamorphosis! I am continually learning; I transform myself and everything becomes clearer in me.
It is because I am passionate about the sacred, the present moment, the body, the silence, the connection to the heart that I value the preparation of the space where I work, to receive, welcome, and care for those who surrender to the moment of receiving a therapy, in my space.
I trust in feeling, in the synchronicities of life, and that “what is essential is invisible to the eye.
I choose Life! Only love is real!
I choose to live hand in hand with my Soul!
I find in the body and in the feeling the key to rediscover and transform myself!
